What is the HYPOXI-Method?

HYPOXI® is a method for targeted body shaping. It was developed at the end of the 90's by Dr. Norbert Egger in Salzburg, Austria and is now successfull in over 40 countries worldwide. The HYPOXI-Method has a unique effect on persistent fat deposits of the stomach, hips, buttocks and thighs and also on cellulite and weak connective tissue.

The HYPOXI-Method uses the natural principles of lipid metabolism to systematically reduce undesired fat deposits, an effect that does not usually occur when losing weight using conventional methods. At the same time, the treatment continually improves the complexion. Modern training devices, a holistic approach and personal supervision by your HYPOXI-Consultant ensure long-term effectiveness.

How does the method work?

One of the most important aspects of successfully reducing body fat from problem areas is optimal blood circulation in the fat tissue. This is where the HYPOXI-Method is unique. On the one hand, the targeted body areas are systematically put under pressure – achieved with vacuum therapy (based on the principle of cupping massage) and compression therapy (treatment with positive pressure). On the other hand, simultaneous moderate kinetic exercise activates the metabolism. Fatty acids from stubborn fat tissue are released and transported via the blood circulation to be burned as fuel for the muscles. And not only that: HYPOXI® also improves the unattractive appearance of cellulite and strengthens the dermal and connective tissue. The effect: a firm and more beautiful complexion.

Who should not use the HYPOXI-Equipment?

A simple rule of thumb: anyone who is allowed to do moderate bicycle exercises can take advantage of
the HYPOXI-Method. People suffering from the following symptoms should first consult their doctor:

  • severely damaged circulatory system
  • acute vascular disorders
  • pathological cardiovascular diseases
  • bone and muscle atrophy

HYPOXI-Training is not allowed

  • during pregnancy
  • in the case of infections or inflammations
