Beet it!

Did you know that beets contain folic acid, which has been shown to lower levels of homocysteine, an amino acid in blood liked to heart disease.

Beets are also known to have anti-aging effects.  The garden is low in calories and contains a samll amount of fat.

 

Raw beets are an excellent source of folates; folate is the natural source of vitamin B9 found in a variety of foods.

It contains significant amounts of vitamin-C, one of the powerful natural antioxidant, which helps body scavenge deleterious free radicals one of the reasons for cancers development.
